Glass Resort was the most luxurious hotel during our Lapland vacation. We experienced a high standard everywhere in the hotel. The rooms with the large glass front and the private whirlpool have the wow factor. For dinner, the food is of high quality and beautifully presented. The service is also very attentive. |Breakfast is impressive with a small but very tasty buffet. Many types of bread, always fresh egg dishes, fruit, good selection of cheeses.|A big advantage is the location within walking distance of Santa Claus village. In the late evening, when the stores are closed, you practically have the village to yourself, very romantic in winter. |On a walk we looked at the nearby hotel "santa's igloos arctic circle". The bungalows are built very close together and the whole complex is far less romantic than the glass resort. |The only small point of criticism: there is no cozy lounge with a fireplace in the hotel. There is a small seating area in front of the restaurant, but not inviting for a drink before dinner.|Tip: Book early, the hotel books up incredibly quickly. Be sure to have dinner in the hotel restaurant.

The glass resort is an amazing place to stay. The rooms are incredible, there is nothing we missed in the equipment. The jacuzi outside is the hightlight. We really enjoyed this. Service is excellent and the food in the restaurant delicious. Breakfast was the best we had during our journey. So all in all, a place to enjoy and relax!

A beautiful resort set just off the Santa Claus Village. The apartments are very comfortable with each having a sauna and an outside hot tub. There is a buffet breakfast to suit just about every taste - cereals, cold meats, bacon, mini hot dogs, eggs, fruit smoothies and freshly baked bread. The evening meal is of a high quality. The staff on our trip were just excellent - every single person we dealt with was helpful and genuinely pleasant. It's a good base for things like snowmobiling , husky tours and other experiences. Like everything in Finland, it's not the cheapest, but the whole set up is excellent and that includes the staff (such as Nina and Verna and others whose names I didn't get). As above, it is a 100m walk to the Santa Claus Village and though that didn't interest me much, for others it would be vital. Highly recommended.

Wow! This place is fantastic!|We arrived late and they kindly delivered sandwiches and a charcuterie board to our room. |The glass apartments are fabulous, well equipped and private. |The hot tub is hot and clean and the service provided by all of the staff is exemplary. Nothing is too much trouble for this team of service professionals. |The Gallis restaurant is a lovely restaurant and everything we ate was excellent. The lobster was also fantastic!|The local area is ok but aimed largely at children but if you book excursions this is not a problem. |We were sad to leave this wonderful, tranquil experience and would love to return in the future!

Beautiful resort and very central and close to the airport. Just walking minutes away from Santa’s Village. The rooms are nice, but not sure you get what you pay for as they provide you with extras, such as wine, champagne and more. However, there is a catch, there is a hefty price tag associated with each item, unlike other fancier hotels we have stayed at in the past. Young children are also charged as adults.||We spoke with the food wait staff who were very friendly and extremely helpful. They had mentioned that during their entire time working for the past 6 months, they had only seen the Northern Lights 2 times total, one time in December and another time in March, it’s currently April 5th. If you are expecting to see the lights from these expensive rooms, the lighting/windows and the neighboring units do cause lots of glare and light pollution making it difficult to see. You will be forced to go outside or spend another $100USD for a tour, if the lights even decide to show in Rovaniemi.||The front desk staff is not very friendly or welcoming, however, you will feel safe as it seems as though their main objective is to watch your every movement on their premises. Just be prepared as their jacuzzis are outside facing and visible to everyone with very little privacy. I would not recommend Glass Resorts to friends or family. Not sure whether every room has a sauna, but ours did and that was a nice touch.

Excellent service and amenities. The staff at Glass Resort is truly exceptional. Especially Nathali and Francisco. They were so warm and friendly we always felt at home. The glass igloos were spacious and well appointed. Having your own heated jacuzzi & sauna on made our stay.

Beautiful resort! The included dinner was delicious and they also went out of their way to prepare us breakfast and leave it in our room the night before our departure since we had an early flight the next morning. The only flaw we experienced was the receptionist who checked us in on 22 March just before lunch time. She was not very welcoming and I felt like we were an inconvenience to her. Our room was not ready, so we left for several hours. Upon returning, the same receptionist was there checking in another couple. Her whole demeanor was different towards them. She was engaged and welcoming the whole interaction. After helping them, the receptionist did not acknowledge me. Instead, she left and stood in the doorway behind the desk and started talking with her colleagues. She finally came back to the desk after a customer who came in after me approached and helped him instead. She seems to be selective about the people she provides great service to.

I did not encounter this type of interaction with the other staff. Others were very welcoming and attentive. For a resort of this caliber, you would except service to be flawless throughout.

There's so many 'unique' accommodation options in the area, however as we only had our car for part of our trip and were flying our of Rovaniemi we decided to stay at the Glass Resort based on the excellent reviews and close to airport location. ||Easy to book online, and great pre-arrival communications from staff answering our queries. ||Our driver picked us up in a 'luxury' minibus at the time we booked and was extremely friendly and offered lots of advice. We arrived at the Glass Resort, and alothough earlier than checkin time, were quickly handed our key and the driver loaded our suitcases on to a sledge and pulled them to our accomodation. ||I'd previously emailed to ask for room 7B, and they'd kindly given us this room. |Upon arrival our driver took us around the back of the igloo to show us how to use the hot tub. He then took us inside and showed us the essentials of our room. ||Wow! It is just stunning!|You enter and on the left was a large bathroom with toilet, shower and sauna (the shower has aromatherapy oils when you start it). ||There is a kitchenette with coffee maker, fridge, hob, kettle, dishwasher, crockery, glasses, cups amd plastic ware for use outside. There is also a small wardrobe for clothes which had three robes, three pairs of slippers and a safe. There is a tablet that you can use to order room service or essential items and also chat to reception. ||You then walk through to the 'living area" with full floor to sky windows. There is a chair, dining table for four people, sofa bed and a TV. A spiral staircase takes you up to the main bedroom, with a large velux window and the most stunning views from the glass windows. There's even a button to press in the room to clear Snow from the windows. ||Sadly it was too cloudy both nights for us to see the Northern lights however it was still a mesmerising experience laying in bed looking out at the beautiful Finnish scenery. ||The outside hot tub was amazing, there's something wonderful about sitting in a hot tub surrounded by snow, watching the reindeer pull the sledges behind you. ||We booked on the DB&B rate at the Gallis restaurant (reviewed separately). The restaurant is beautifully decorated, small and intimate with floor to ceiling glass windows. Breakfast consisted of half a dozen hot options, from memory sausages, bacon, eggs, pancakes and porridge. There was also lots of cheeses, hams, pastries, muffins, cake cereal, yoghurt, sourdough bread (which I overheard them say was made in house), jams, honeys, and a few location Finnish delicacies. It was a great selection and tasted amazing! ||This was a bucket list experience for me and it exceeded my expectation. I would highly recommend staying at the Glass Resort to anyone looking for a unique stay when visiting Finland.
