We were eating there. Wedding anniversary.
Really good people there. Good, or maybe I should say; excellent service! ❤️
But, sry, its too expensive for us who lives and work here in Kiruna.
Once in a year ? we can afford it!

What a great place! The room was super big and the bed was really comfortable. The spa is fantastic, an absolute must. It's located near the old town. There are many activities that you can book at the hotel. We wish we had stayed here for longer.

Lovely hotel. Use the spa! About £25 pp but you have a coke Walter plunge pool outside and a jacuzzi at 37C. Bookable in 2 hour sessions from midday,2pm etc. Kids only midday and 2pm allowed. The shop had free sledges for guests to borrow. Try Ann’s the restaurant 5-7 mins walk. Pizza burgers and great Thai food. Very cheap. Free ice cream. We used Lapland sled dog adventures and went snowmobiling and husky sledding. The best business around. They love their dogs and a very small team run it who really look after you the guest and their animals. Breakfast is great at Camp Ripan as well.

We stayed in a small chalet with a beautiful snow view. I loved the experience of not being in a usual hotel. The food in their restaurant was great (artichoke soup and reindeer dish ?) They have a good location a bit away from the city center so you feel in the nature. I enjoyed their spa more than anywhere else becof their treatment. It was also unique to have a freezing cold pool outside. You can also book activities from the hotel, we had a city tour and it was also great. ?

My visit was to their spa was wonderful. I highly recommend Camp Ripan: Aurora Spa. Everyone that I interacted with was patient, polite, professional, and personable. I arrived an hour before my massage appointment and used the spa. The pools, hot tub, and saunas are a great way to unwind after all of the different activities. My massage was nice and relaxing. In fact, if it was any longer I would have fallen asleep. I also used the spa services before I left. I will visit again next time I come back to Kiruna.

We loved our stay at Camp Ripon.|No complaints.|Plenty to do there.|It would have been nice to have been told on arrival that ice skating, sledging were fun activities to do and readily available.|Coop very close by to collect provisions.|Gorgeous food.|Make sure you arrive before 9:30pm if you want a nightcap. We arrived at 9:45 and they were reluctant and forget having a hot drink after a late night stroll.|Stunning sunrise. Weather dependent obviously.

There are a lot of positives re Camp Ripan, the spa is pretty cool and the facilities are good in general. We liked our cabins, as a couple we’d booked one that would fit a family of 4. There are good walking trails nearby. ||However, service at the front desk was cold and officious. It was made very clear that check-out time would be 11am - this was delivered in a way that felt like I’d just been told off. It was very weird. ||Service at the restaurant was slow and we got a sense that there’s a big turnover of staff who are unfamiliar with the payment system, so even settling our bills took some time. ||While we enjoyed the spa, foreigners unfamiliar with Swedish spa processes were left to their own devices to try and navigate the various steps. No clear instructions were given that guests had to go up to staff for the coffee/chocolate face masks, the foot massage stones or the birch scrubs. So that was a little frustrating. ||Still, we enjoyed our time there.

We all enjoyed our meals.

The bartender was helpful with recommendations regarding local beers. The rest of the service was fairly friendly but not the most attentive - they may have been under-staffed the evening we were there. The menu did not mention all of the dessert options.

Ambience was quiet, spare swedish style: clean lines, mostly wood but with enough textile to soften the sounds from conversations and other ambient noise. Nice views to the outside through walls of glass.

The food was delicious: locally sourced, it seemed, with medium/moderate-sized portions, good seasoning and enough options that accommodated all of our party's varied preferences and restrictions.

Would go again.
