Rent och fräscht! Fina rum och trevlig personal.

Well wasn't the best experience what ended so they didn't want return my forgotten belongings back to me, or so. I needed to take a "police card" that they even bothered to answer to me after they already answered once happily when I was supposed to travel back same way, but my plans changed and I couldn't go back to this otherwise lovely island.. and when I asked them to send me those items, they didn't answer for me after few messages until I said I contact police.

Customer service was so sunny first when there wasn't problem, buy when one comes, attitude change was terrible. Rude I say.

Anyway it was springtime I stayed there, room was chilly, ok, blanket was full plastic so sweating/freezing= not good night sleep. Wasn't only me, on the morning chatting with other rooms customers, they said same. There was promise for some coffee/tea/bread always available. Wasn't so!

Hard to say whether this is a four or three star; there are some pro's and con's, depending on what you expect.

Good things: outstanding setting in an old military, regimental area, loaded with history. Very calm atmosphere, embedded in the very best of the Stockholm archipelago. Even though the place is remote, there are restaurants and stuff within an acceptable proximity. There is no doubt that location is a five star.

Rooms are located on the top floor in the former regimental hospital/sick bay and dentistry (the other two floors have offices and a small conference centre.
Everything is clean and well maintained, fairly modern and with a fresh feel. Pets allowed - which is a BIG plus.

Things that could be improved is that the place has no WiFi, which doesn't feel very contemporary. Also, the "breakfast" offered is frozen slices of bread, butter and jam. I think there's coffe also somewhere. For self-catering, there is only a microwave, no stove. Frige is shared with other guests as well as the staff.
We've stayed here several times, since I have family on the island, and some times there have been problems with heating during winter.

I've never seen any one of the staff but they are usually very quick to answer mail/text/phone.

I will probably stay here again many times and to be honest, I am looking forward to the next time, but that is also because I know what to expect.
If there would be free WiFi, it would be a great update, whilst giving a little more value for the buck.
