Clean, comfortable, friendly, quiet, and conveniently between the bus/train station and all the main sites. The wifi worked well, and the simple breakfast was tasty. Check out is at 10:30, but the nuns were happy to store our bags and encouraged us to use the common rooms (including small kitchen with kettle, fridge, and microwave) up to our bus departure later in the day. (I suspect they would also hold bags prior to the noon check-in, but we didn't need that.) Breakfast was 8-9 but coffee was available earlier and of course, the kitchenettes are available for early risers (there is a nice grocery store about 2 blocks away, as well as nearby restaurants, bars, cafes). We would definitely stay here again.

We spent here one night and had a very good experience. Everything is minimal but of good quality. The rooms are simple but extremely clean and tidy. The breakfast is basic but at these prices it is perfectly acceptable.||||If you just need a roof over your head for the night, in Turku it is hard to beat this place and its price.||||The only real downside is you have to pay in cash.

We stayed there just one night but it was really nice. The sisters are welcoming, the guesthouse is very well situated and the rooms are perfectly clean. Our bathroom was quiet small, with juste the necessary, but it was clean and nicely decorated. Beds are a bit small as well, but clean and fresh bed linens are included in the price, which is not the case everywhere in Finland. Talking of the price, it is perfectly reasonable. Plus, it includes a simple but good breakfast.|| ||I totally recommend this place.

My husband and I stayed one night in a twin room here. For 65 euro, the spotlessly clean spacious room with attached bathroom, breakfast, and Wifi was great value for Finland. Be aware, the nuns only accept cash. Breakfast isn't very fancy but adequate and filling. The hostel is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and also quite near most of the major sights. Each floor has a common room with a fridge, stove, and a TV.

We stayed at Bridgettine guesthouse for 2 nights in March 2019. The booking was very easy, no prepayments, site registrations, frozen funds. We just posted a letter by e-mail with a short booking request and received a polite answer almost immediately (booking confirmed). It turned out that the guesthouse is located in the city center very conveniently, straight in between the main tourist attractions (within a walking distance from the main cathedral on the one side and the castle and the harbor on the other). The central shopping centers and the old market are also nearby, just a short walk away. The sisters were very friendly and no one asks you about your confession or religious beliefs unless you yourself want to talk about it. We arrived just a day after the Ash Wednesday, so it was Lent time and very strict Fast by the Catholic calendar, however there was ham and cheese among other things for breakfast, because, as already said, the guesthouse welcomes people with other faiths and beliefs as well. The breakfast was simple, but quite ok to our taste and good to start the day. The place was very quiet, the rooms were very neat and clean, we had a perfect night sleep after a long ride (first day) and walks around the city (second day). The conditions are perfect to read and meditate and there is a small catholic church in the adjacent building. Among other things, there is a small free parking lot just behind the guesthouse, which may be a bit crowded when the season is at its height, but there was no problem for us to find a place for our car during our stay in March. There is one “but” that only cash can be used for payment (pls mind this) and no cards are accepted for the stay, but I guess it is not a big problem to withdraw some beforehand, being in the center of a cty. So, on the whole we had a wonderful short stay in Turku and much of this owing to the Bridgettine guesthouse. A stay there was definitely a bargain at the price.

I stayed here for 6 nights. This guest house is very conveniently located. It's about 10 minutes walk from the main train station and about the same to the centre of Turku. There is a bar selling craft beer and two supermarkets situated just 2 minutes walk. Just turn right out of the guest house for Turku centre and the supermarkets. It is comfortable and very clean. A good night's sleep is assured, since it is situated in a very quiet area of town. The nuns are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good comprising of cheese, two different types of meat, cereals, honey, jam, coffee and tea; simple, but more than adequate. I didn't eat here, but the nuns provide lunch and dinner if booked and there are enough people. There is also a room on each floor with a TV, seating area and basic cooking facilities such as a hob and microwave, as well as a kettle. While the bed is small, it's comfortable and there is a couch in the room. I will definitely stay here again. Cheap at €45 per night for a single room, including breakfast and there is free WiFi.

Our family stayed here for something a little different! Probably not worth the back ache. The nuns were pleasant and helpful, and it was a few blocks to city centre or train station. The premises smelt slightly (nursing home smell). 15 min walk away was a bar with some washing/drying machines. You have to book a time, then sit back drink play a few board games while your washing dries. The sisters of Turku provide a hearty breaky from 8-9 am.. There is some free parking but is limited. The only downfall is the beds! Otherwise clean and quiet.
