We had a really good time in the snow cabin. The owners are so lovely and helpful. If you need something, they will help you. They show us the surroundings and tell us interesting things about the iron mine.
The only thing which was not so good, that you can't control the heater in the sleeping rooms. So there was it a little bit to warm for us. But all in all we can really recommend it!

Even if we stayed for only one night, we felt like home. Definitely worth either to find your peace of mind, see the Northern lights or have a chitchat with the lovely owner ?

super friendly host! When he pick me from Kiruna central, he told me he just saw some wild moose on the way then he drive me to the same road to see it. And he lend me the tripod to take the photos
of Northern light. Teach me how to drive snowmobile.
The house is cozy and have a super big TV. Everything is nice and thanks for give me such good memories.

I stayed here for 10 days and had a wonderful stay in the snow cabin. I found everything I needed and woke up very rested every morning. Cecilia and Rickhard are wonderful people, very helpful and I am happy to have met them. The house is a bit older, not a sterile hotel room and therefore has charm. Everything was clean, warm, sheets and towels smelled good, there was a shower with really hot water and a fireplace with free firewood. The WLAN also works amazingly well here. A snowshoe path starts right at the house, from which the Aurora can be easily observed. There is a lot of wildlife to discover in the area. I saw a lot of elk and reindeer. I drove over 2500 kilometers through Lapland and would recommend to visit the Stora Sjöfallet Nationalpark. The nearest shops can be found in Vittangi or Junosuando, there is a petrol station in Vittangi, both about 20 minutes drive away. You should definitely go on a tour with Rickhard, he knows a lot about the area and is such a warm person. If you need warm clothes, you can borrow them in the snow cabin or buy them in the souvenir shop. At the beginning of March I had temperatures down to minus 24 degrees, but I never froze with the right clothes. I would definitely recommend a stay in the Snow Cabin and hope to be able to come back soon.

Beutiful place, lots to see, northen lights during winter and midnightsun during summer... And rather good pokemon hunting too for a small village, it has 2 pokemongyms and 3pokemonstops. Worth a visit.
