The best trip we've ever been on. The Kotas are so nice and cozy. There's nothing like sleeping under the trees. Everything about our stay was amazing but especially the staff. They really make sure that you are looked after. If you're thinking about booking, DO IT and book some activities too!

Nivunki Village is a magical place. Here, time seems to fade away, allowing you to embrace the tranquility and enjoy every moment in complete serenity.

The structure is beautifully designed and meticulously maintained, with great attention to detail that makes the experience even more special. One of the absolute highlights is the sauna, offering a breathtaking view of the frozen lake—an unforgettable experience of relaxation and connection with nature.

I cannot express how much we LOVED Nivunki village! If you're looking for off the beaten track, and an authentic Lapish experience before the uptick in tourism around Lapland started, this is the place to go! It is the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature. The kotas (accomodation) you sleep in are lovely and are perfectly situated to watch the northern lights at night. You can tell there was great detail put into the entire place. The food was impeccably and locally sourced...a very traditional Lapish menu. and the staff! we felt like we knew them by the end of our trip 🙂 Shout out to Miia and Helena for assisting us with our stay and booking our activities. Nina (or Nini), our fabulous waitress who always greeted us with a smile and was overall just so nice to chat to every night. And of course our two tour guides Antti and Atte! Kittos for teaching us the true meaning of Lapish and Sami culture and for taking us ice fishing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and more!

We'll never forget our trip to Nivunki village and hope to be back again some day 🙂

Amazing experience of northern luxury. Never seen such a beautiful northern lights, spectacular views from very special accommodation. Restaurant and their menu is top class local lapland cuisine.

We had the most AMAZING dinner here. The atmosphere and food were both incredible. This is spot that you must not miss on your Finland vacation. While we did not stay here, we are confident that it would be so great given the attention to detail and service at the restaurant. I wish I would've taken pictures of my food because it was amazing -- very gourmet!

Also -- if you are traveling to see the Northern Lights. I assume you would have the highest likelihood here because it is a secluded area where there is not much light pollution. We saw them after dinner on Christmas day -- it was magical!!!

I cannot recommend this place enough. I went with my husband for our honeymoon & it was the most incredible trip I’ve had in my life! (& I’ve been to 46 countries!) from the activities to the service- this trip was truly unforgettable. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights all five nights & falling asleep as they dance above you is the most surreal experience.

A huge plus was the incredible food, service (thank you Sami!!), and the daily sauna/arctic plunge.

If you are considering Lapland and are looking for a relaxing, luxury &/or adventure experience- this is your spot! We will be back!

What a magical place! We loved staying at nivunki village. The kotas are very beautiful and we were so lucky to see aurora borealis from our bed, what an experience!! The team is amazing as well and we appreciated how well they accommodated our request for vegan food. We had an amazing vegan three course dinner which could definitely keep up with the vegan restaurants in Berlin, impressive! We highly recommend staying here and hope to be able to come back one day.

We stayed here for a Christmas break. Everything was delightful! The staff were so friendly, the huts were perfect, food amazing and the sauna and safaris onsite made the whole trip feel seemless. Cannot recommend more highly. Thank you, we'll be back!
